Hi! My name is Jacob, and I am studying in Yeshivat Eretz HaTzvi this year.
I have decided to step forward and take part in the Jerusalem Marathon 2024 along with thousands of people from around the world, no matter their age, nationality or religion. Although I am not a natural runner, I will challenge myself to complete a 10-kilometer run around Jerusalem. This is one of the toughest terrains to do a marathon, due to the hills and mountains in the city.
I have decided to support Yachad, an international charity dedicated to enriching the lives of Jewish individuals with disabilities and their families, by enhancing their communal participation and their connection to Judaism. Yachad organises social and educational programs and support services using the funds raised by individuals and donors from around the world. This charity has done incredible work, and I feel privileged to be able to assist them in continuing their projects.
Running this marathon will be a challenge, but I am very excited to run alongside my friends for such an amazing cause. I would really appreciate donations, so matter how big or small. Every little helps!
Thank you, and please feel free to keep updated on my Israel Instagram account (@jacobs.ladder.reversed).
