  5. What do I have to do to be part of Team Yachad?

Simply register! Your $25 registration fee [$100 from December 1, 2017] is a tax deductible, non-refundable donation to Yachad/NJCD. The registration fee will be applied towards your minimum fundraising commitment.  As a member of Team Yachad – Jerusalem, you will be responsible to raise a minimum of $613. Each runner is required to raise the full amount ($613) by race-day, March 9, 2018.

  6. I never run. Will I be able to finish a 10K, Half or Full Marathon?

Absolutely! It might take a little bit of hard work and training, but many of our runners are first timers.  To date, every Team Yachad member has crossed the finish line successfully. Whether you are a first time runner or an experienced one, Coach Yosefi will create a personalized training regimen that will have you ready to complete whatever race you have registered for.

  7. I am concerned that I might not be able to raise the required funds. Will I be able to do it?

Even if you’ve never raised money before, our materials and strategies will make it easy for you to solicit and collect sponsorships from friends, family, colleagues, neighbors, and others.

Experience has shown that it is not only possible, but quite enjoyable as you work to reach this goal.  Yachad is a worthwhile organization and our runners are enthusiastic about its mission. You will be surprised how friends, family, and co-workers will respond to your effort to run/walk in a marathon to help this wonderful cause. Remember, you are not asking people to make donations…you are asking them to sponsor YOU and YOUR efforts!

Team Yachad will be with you every step of the way to help you reach your goal! Should you have any additional concerns or questions related to the fundraising aspect, please email us at teamyachad@ou.org.

  8. How can my sponsors submit payment?

Online contributions can be made by credit card on the runner’s personalized page found on our website.  Checks should be pledged online through the runner’s personalized page and can be mailed to:

    Team Yachad Jerusalem
    11 Broadway, 13th Floor
    New York, NY 10004

Please make sure that sponsors write your name and their email address on the check so we can ensure that you are given credit for the donation.  Team Yachad will send tax exempt receipts to every sponsor. Tax receipts can be issued for the US, Canada or Israel.

  9. Is there a refund/exchange policy?

Yes. If a donation was made accidentally or for the wrong amount, simply make us aware of the issue and we will be happy to make any necessary refunds, changes or corrections.  You can contact us at teamyachad@ou.org.

  10. How long is the training period?

Ideally, two months. Many of our runners have done it in less and Coach Yosefi Zeev will work with you to create a personalized training schedule for you.
