Jerusalem 2020

March 20 2020 Running Hand in Hand for Disability Inclusion

Zehava Shatzkes

Hi, I am Zehava Shatzkes and am a Sophomore at Yeshivat Frisch. I plan to run the Jerusalem Marathon on March 20 in Israel in support of Yachad.

I have been involved with Yachad for three years. Yachad is an amazing youth organization whose goal is to spread inclusion just like Yachad's name is defined as "together". Yachad specifically supports individuals that have disabilities and includes everyone in events, shabbatonim, and every other opportunity available.

Unlike other chesed organizations, Yachad only gets minimal funding from the government, so Yachad relies on the generosity of people like you. Every time I participate in a Yachad event or am able to help make someone's day better, there is an amazing feeling unlike anything else. You too can have a similar feeling by helping me!

My goal is to raise $3,000 in order to run the Jerusalem Marathon in support of Yachad and help spread inclusion. This is going to be my first time running a marathon and I am busy training. I am dedicated to this cause and hope you will help me reach my goal by donating today!
