Jerusalem 2020

March 20 2020 Running Hand in Hand for Disability Inclusion

Hope Halper

Thank you so much for considering donating to my running hand in hand in support of disability inclusion with Team Yachad at the Jerusalem Marathon.

I am extremely excited to be running my first 10k. This is actually my first time running any sort of distance, truly ANY sort, since running the mile for physical education class in high school.

Team Yachad has given me the courage to take on the challenge this coming year in Jerusalem. Seeing all the past years finish line pictures and hearing first hand from Team Yachad participants how great they feel when they make it across that line has been all the encouragement I needed to start training.

Yachad is a huge part of my life, it is where I have worked for the last year and where I truly feel like I belong. BECAUSE EVERYONE BELONGS. I am very proud to be part of an organization that has such a positive effect on the lives of individuals with disabilities in the Jewish community.

Of course I’m nervous! BUT!
There has never been a member of Team Yachad to not finish. That is the magic of Yachad because everyone belongs, that is Yachad’s tagline.

If you want to learn more about Yachad reach out me and if you’re thinking you would like to run this marathon in one of the greatest cities in the world THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR MORE ON TEAM YACHAD.BECAUSE EVERYONE BELONGS.
